Gender Diversity Awareness Week Display

A beautiful collaboration between my local public library, a local transgender support group, and myself just came to fruition in a set of displays celebrating Gender Diversity Awareness Week.

I worked with three Eugene Public Library librarians to develop lists of books and films relating to transgender history and culture, for all audiences and genres. Materials from these lists are placed on two displays (fiction and nonfiction) and are replenished as they get checked out.

Trans*Ponder members created an art display as well as a historical timeline display that are in locked glass cases for patrons to view.

We also created a bookmark to help library visitors find trans-relevant library and archival materials. Please feel free to print and disseminate!
